IT'S THE OTHER 15 HOURS THAT MATTER MOST
So, you’ve tidied up your nutrition,
And you started in the gym,
Well Played!
But somehow,
Not much is changing
The weight is staying the same
And the goal to get back into the old shirts evades you
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?
When we start to workout
And at the same time reduce our calorie intake,
We’re likely to get pretty damn tired.
And so, although were working HARD in the gym for an hour,
The other 15 hours we’re awake, we feel lethargic
And usually that means we stay still more
Less movement,
Less fidgeting
More sitting

This is one of the reasons inside BBA, we track daily steps.
Daily steps are the best indication we can get of our NEAT
And are the most under-estimated factor of weight loss
As a 40-year old bloke,
With a lot of priorities and not much free time
I take whatever opportunity I can to integrate NEAT
With family activities, especially on weekends.
This way, you don’t have to sacrifice time with them
To see the result on the scale.
