THE CHEF THAT CHANGED HIS WAYS
Today, I’m going to dump praise on one of my favourite ever clients.
Nicola is the owner and chef of Osteria il Coccia at Ettalong Beach, Central Coast, Australia.
(𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘵?)
He came to me in February this year because frankly,
𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡*𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞
Nico had experienced the highest highs of the hospitality world,
It brought highest commendation
He even wrote his own book
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐬, 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬
Restaurant life can take a toll on you in many ways
High stress, crazy hours, relationship and financial pressure,
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃 𝐡𝐢𝐭
He was already struggling, and now it got worse
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲
This is a story of a man that drew a line in the sand, joined BBA and said
𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝗪𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝗪𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐄
I’m going to be a better husband,
A better dad,
And a better leader in my workplace.
𝟔 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐧, 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦,
To be honest, I was worried, because I could hardly understand his Italian
Yet Nico turned up to EVERY CALL
That’s the thing about the New Nico,
He just shows up every FKIN day!
𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬, 𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝟐𝟑𝐤𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟖𝐜𝐦 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐮𝐭
But, the fat loss is far more because he’s built some serious muscle which offsets the weight
Nico’s personal power has been harnessed and he navigated a horrible time for hospitality like a champ.
And NOW, Nico is the beating heart of our Better Body Academy.
𝐈 𝐅𝐊𝐈𝐍 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫
And I am so proud of the man you are!
𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.
But that doesn’t mean you need to accept them.
